The 2021 Kia Sportage has two powerful engines available. The first is a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that is standard on the LX, S, and EX trim levels. This engine produces up to 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The second engine option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that is standard on the SX Turbo. This engine varies in performance depending on which drivetrain is equipped.
When equipped with front-wheel drive, this engine produces up to 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with all-wheel drive, it delivers up to 237 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with an Electronically Controlled 6-speed Automatic Transmission Overdrive with Sportmatic®. Sportmatic® allows you to shift into a manual shifting mode for more control.
