Kia hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric cars in Naples, FL

Whether you love them or hate them, hybrids and electric cars are here to stay and it’s safe to say that they are the future of automobiles. Kia has always been at the forefront of technology, and it is no surprise that one of the most popular car manufacturers in the US isn’t too far behind in the hybrid and electric vehicle race. The OEM currently has four hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and electric vehicles (EV) in its 2021 lineup, with the recently unveiled 2022 Kia EV6 all-electric compact crossover SUV expected to hit the market very soon. Wanna know what all hybrids and electric cars Kia sells at Airport Kia in Naples, FL? Keep reading this blog to find out.

2021 Kia Niro (Hybrid)

The 2021 Kia Niro is probably the Niro’s best iteration yet. The 2021 refresh to the popular hybrid subcompact crossover SUV has been updated with a new sleeker design and a host of driver-assist technologies and safety features.

2021 Niro Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV)

As the name suggests, the 2021 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid is the plug-in hybrid variant of the standard 2021 Niro. It’s got the same engine, drivetrain, styling, dimensions, and features as the standard Niro. It even produces identical combined horsepower and torque figures, but unlike the Niro, the PHEV variant comes in only three trims – LXS, EX, and EX Premium.

And because it runs primarily on electric power until its 360 V lithium-ion polymer battery gets completely depleted, the Niro PHEV is able to return an all-electric range of 26 miles and a total driving range of up to 560 miles. At 105 MPGe combined, the Niro PHEV’s EPA-estimated fuel economy looks good too. The 2021 Niro Plug-in Hybrid starts from $29,590.

2020 Niro EV

The 2020 Niro EV is the fully electric version of the Kia Niro that is powered by an all-electric Permanent Magnet AC Synchronous Motor which produces a combined system output of 201 hp and 291 lb.-ft. of torque.

The electric Niro delivers an impressive EPA-estimated 239-mile all-electric driving range and EPA-estimated MPGe ratings of 123/102/112 MPGe (City/Highway/Combined). The Niro EV also takes just about 1 hour and 15 minutes to charge 80 percent of its high density, 64 kWh battery with DC fast charging capability.

2021 Sorento Hybrid

Like the regular 2021 Kia Sorento, the 2021 Sorento Hybrid is an ultra-capable, mid-size crossover SUV but with a hybrid-class drive range and better fuel economy. It’s got the most powerful turbocharged hybrid powertrain in its class, combined with intuitive driver-assist features, ample seating and cargo space, and an available all-wheel-drive (AWD) option. The hybrid drivetrain of the 2021 Sorento Hybrid can deliver up to 655 miles of combined range.

2022 Kia EV6 (Upcoming)

The 2022 Kia EV6 is the latest all-electric compact crossover SUV from Kia that made its global debut earlier this year in March. The futuristic-looking electric “CUV” has been built from the ground up, and its all-electric drivetrain can deliver an impressive 320 hp and 446 lb.-ft. of torque. In other words, the EV6 can reach 0-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds. That’s quicker than even the 335 hp Porsche Cayenne! And while we’re on the subject of speed, the EV6 can deliver up to 210 miles of drive range with just 18 mins of charging using the supported 800V fast charging.

We can’t wait to have the 2022 Kia EV6 in our lots soon. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted on the availability as soon as we have a word.
