2025 Kia Sportage

The 2025 Kia Sportage is available in seven trims: LX, EX, X-Line AWD, SX, SX-Prestige, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige. The LX comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and daytime running lights, featuring Kia's signature Tiger Nose grille. The EX upgrades to 18-inch alloy wheels and adds a smart power liftgate with the Premium package. The X-Line AWD incorporates gloss black exterior accents and modified side mirrors. The SX maintains the 18-inch wheels while adding LED fog lights. Moving up to the SX-Prestige brings 19-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and a panoramic sunroof. The X-Pro features 17-inch matte black alloy wheels with BF Goodrich all-terrain tires and increased ground clearance. The range-topping X-Pro Prestige includes all X-Pro features plus LED fog lights and a panoramic sunroof.

The standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine generates 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard on LX, EX, SX, and SX-Prestige trims, with all-wheel drive available as an option. The X-Line AWD, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige include standard all-wheel drive. The hybrid powertrain combines a 1.6L turbocharged engine with an electric motor for 227 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid version delivers 261 horsepower through the same turbocharged engine paired with a larger electric motor.

The front-wheel-drive Sportage accelerates from 0-60 mph in 8.1 seconds. All models feature Drive Mode Select with Normal, Sport, and Smart modes. The X-Line AWD, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige models include an advanced AWD system with Multi-Terrain Control. Ground clearance measures 8.3 inches for front-wheel-drive models and 8.6 inches for X-Pro variants. Front-wheel-drive models deliver 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined, while all-wheel-drive versions get 23 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined. The hybrid delivers 6.1 L/100 km city and 6.3 L/100 km highway, with the PHEV achieving 6.6 L/100 km combined. The Sportage can tow up to 2,500 pounds when equipped with trailer brakes.

A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes standard on EX and higher trims, while the LX features an 8-inch display. The SX and above receive a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. EX and X-Line AWD models include synthetic leather upholstery, while SX-Prestige and X-Pro Prestige upgrade to premium leather. The cabin offers 41.4 inches of front legroom and 41.3 inches of rear legroom. Cargo capacity measures 39.6 cubic feet behind the second row, expanding to 74.1 cubic feet with the seats folded. All trims include dual-zone automatic climate control and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. An 8-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system is available.

Every 2025 Sportage includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and a comprehensive airbag system. EX and higher trims add Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. The SX introduces Highway Driving Assist, while SX-Prestige and X-Pro Prestige models feature a Surround View Monitor and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist - Reverse. Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is available on select trims.
